This web site is dedicated to the Hanseatic League, a confederation of German merchant cities during the Middle Ages. I will be adding content and formatting simultaneously, so please keep checking back for updates. Updates in the past month include a new full-text secondary source on English-Hanseatic relations in the 15th century and an expansion of the chronology (149 new entries, a 27% increase). The Scholar page now also includes a contact e-mail. If you are doing research on the Hanseatic League, please send me an e-mail to let me know what you are working on.
